The story of Bob, The Red Tail - A Survivor

Bob was successfully rehabilitated and returned back to his hunting grounds near York International.
We would like to thank York International for their generous donation and their willingness to keep an eye out for Bob as he flies free.

Update on Bob, the Red-Tailed Hawk
May 25, 2004

Bob, the red-tailed hawk, has been moved from the animal hospital to Rehabitat, where he is continuing to recover from the injuries sustained from an arrow. Bob is showing strong signs of recovery and has been recently moved into a small flight area so that he can be closely monitored while he has the opportunity to start exercising his wings. At Rehabitat, Bob will be provided care, food, and shelter during his recovery. Bob still has a bit of recovery time ahead of him and isn't completely out of danger yet, but at this time,

Bob is progressing well for his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing and anyone who has any information is encouraged to contact Rehabitat or the Game Commission.

Bob's wing is healing and he's almost ready to go home. (Michael Bupp/The Sentinel)
